Recording problems
I have tried the settings as suggested by Subhuman for recording with Cool Edit Pro and it did not work. My system: P111 866, Gigabyte MB, 512 MB Memory, 2 20 gig WD ide hard drives, behringer Euro rack(digital). I am using a Luna 11. I am getting very good playback but unable to record. Can anyone help me? I also have a Maxi Studio Isis SC in my system strictly for midi. The two cards work fine together.
You need to be more specific. What did I tell you to try already? (A link to an old topic would be handy).
Recording is really easy - in Cool Edit, make sure Luna Wave 1 is selected as the recording driver.
Then wire anything from the Luna environment you'd like to record, to "Wave Destination."
If you have the 1) the driver set correctly in Cooledit, and 2) audio routed properly to Cooledit, then it will definitely record (as a .WAV etc) once you start recording in Cooledit

I recorded and overdubbed some tracks today. I did it without any playback wave being re-recorded into any recording track. I routed the various required SOURCE MODULES into corresponding mixer tracks LEFT and RIGHT as the case maybe (INPUT). Then I routed all required DEST MODULES corresponding channels into the LEFT and RIGHT channel of the mixer (OUTPUT).
My old problem has returned. Sound is coming again into tracks I am recording from recorded tracks when I am overdubbing. I am using Cool Edit Pro and Micro Logic AV. I tried panning to left and right as suggested by Creamware support service. That did not work. I have used a few sound card before and I never had these problems. Any suggestions.

So you're SURE you've secured the signal path from whatever source to WAVE dest. module?
Check if the WAVE dest modules are getting any signal. Use a freebie VU meter and connect it to the mixer out. (which mixer are you using by the way?)
If you're getting signal, then all you have to do is to check that the correct wav device is selected in CoolEdit, under settings>devices tab.(most likely, you're using Luna Wave 1) If THAT doesn't work, then I'm out of ideas.
Tell me if it works.

Routing: Luna analog source to Mixer then out to Analog dest.
Wave source to Mixer then to Wave dest
Asio source to mixer then to Asio dest.
All dest left channels back to Mixer left channel
All dest right channels back to Mixer right
channel.
I am using Recording Mixer V2.
In sequencer Luna record 1 selected for recording and Luna 1 playback for playback.
Wave source to Mixer then to Wave dest
