Thanks so much for this. I had been using Cubase or Wavelab for this but when stretching so long they always leave nasty artifacts such as pops and this doesn't. I love it! This is the perfect tool for ambient music.

Has anyone tried HyperMammut? I'm going to try it with the vmplayer when I get the chance.

HyperMammut looks like source only, no exe. Unless I've missed something (which is highly likely)

I'm using the Knoppix DVD version 4. I really like this but I wish I knew how to compile.

HyperMammut - an experimental program for processing images/sounds using by processing the whole sound/image using a single FFT or other transforms (like DCT,DST,etc).

Requirements for compilation:
- wxWidgets library
- Magick++ library
- FFTW library
- libaudiofile
- scons

I occasionally do linux, and try to compile, and always fail. I can never figure out how to do it right. I think that's one of the main things holding me back from linux.

The looks like a pretty darn cool program tho.

hoi ken,

if compiling is what keeps you from running linux, check out a debian-based system, like the Demudi I'm running. Check here for more details, and here for a screenshot of my Sound menu, what I'm running without compiling anything

Ken, I am in Linux now with the knoppix DVD. To remember your settings it can create a partition on a USB drive. It would be a safe way to use the internet or a great emergency way to boot. It sees the hard drive NTFS etc. partitions and has cd/dvd burning software and works with my wireless LAN. You could have a computer with no hard drive. That's pretty weird. It does see USB devices too. I do have audio but rosegarden doesn't have audio for some reason. It does not look like competition for Steinberg Jones. A linux version of Cubase would be so awesome. In any event Linux is getting better. You might be interesed in this:
