one of planetZ's most outstanding 'features' has always been to deal with 'hot' off-topics without much moderation.
Not even a handful of posters has been banned over all those years.
Things like the recent over-interpretion of a couple of topics just happen, as a few flying dishes in a good relation now and then...
Some actions have been on truely slippery ground, and some efforts to justify or calm down a situation may have had the opposite effect - but (imho) a certain border has not been crossed, from neither side.

I admit that I've just followed John's advice - wrote a smashing post ... and filed it to disk... had a break, thought about it later, looked how things developed, got some new impressions, didn't submit.
