I have held off buying the A100 because there's been a possibility that I would be able to get a lexicon PCM91 for a pretty good price and I have been saving my pennies.

I finally had the chance to compare my P100 and the A100 demo with the PCM91 in question this weekend. After much testing I came to the inescapable conclusion that, for all practical purposes, they are the same. There are some differences (the pcm91 seems to have just a bit more body and weight or, rather, so appears under my listening conditions) but they're so small as to be irrelevant, IMO. Switching between them, I simply could not tell most of the presets apart. Even the modulation ranges seem to be the same. It's without question the best third party emulation of *anything* I have ever heard.

Warp69 - your efforts are impressive enough considered on their own. That you have come so close to an external standard just blows my mind.

So I have decided to buy A100 and forego the PCM91 for two reasons:
- the *100 series slaughters the PCM91 for ease of use
- I want to reward your work in my own small way

thank you very much and huge respect

Pierre

p.s. of course, it only served to triple my desire for H100
