Is there a way to build a custom resonant filter using a non-resonant filter like the adern LP-1 (for example)?
Image

Or the modular needs some special modules to do that?

try cascading at least 2 of them
and feeding inverted output back to input
(you'll need xmod/feedback, inverter and some mixer modules)

Lima,
Are you trying to conserve on DSP's?

MCCYRANO's your man. He's rollin' out flexor variations as devices for those with Flexor licences. If you offer him some cash i'm sure he'd even build you a custom device

But maybe he'll see this & make it anyway

Hi! Thanks a lot Michu, I'll try this evening when I'll go to the studio!

Jimmy, that's not the aim! I was surprised when reading the comment about the LP-1 Adern says that all his filters were made using the LP-1. So I would try to experiment with new filters. I'll be pretty happy if I'll make a filter with a different flavour

Hi Shroomz, thank you for the suggestion, but actually I don't need a special custom device. I'm in the experimenting phase
The modular+flexor is a very big toy

I'm still searching for the filter used in Oberheim synths of the '80's. I sometimes hear it on the OBX-c but it is a fleeting little bastard. Let me know what you come up with, as I also have someone else tweaking the filters 4 that buzzy, creamy bastard that I seek also.

Hi Scope4live, I've done a custom resonant filter and a self resonant filter (but they aren't very nice, let's say the works...).
I've got a couple of parameter to tweak that change the flavour of the filter (the width of the "resonant bell" for example) and I wonder if you could help me. I need 2 samples to make some comparisons: one with the non-filtered sound and one filtered.

If you have an Oberheim and you could make a couple of wave files... (i think that white noise it's better to be filtered rather than a complex sound)

I don't promise absolutely nothing because this is something like a try and error method, but maybe with some luck I could reach something interesting...

If I don't remember bad Oberheim used some 3 pole filters, right?
