Yesterday I did a search on PlanetZ to find out about what is the best ASIO modules to use which led me to trying the "ASIO2-Flt Source 64" module.
I tried using the "ASIO2-Flt Source 64" module but all I get is a loud white noise like hiss when routing the audio into either the "ASIO2 Dest" or "ASIO2 Dest 64" modules. Go back to using the "ASIO2 24 Bit Source" module and everything works fine again. The "ASIO2-Flt Source 64" module works fine routing the audio from Cubase into the Scope environment but the problem seems to be routing the audio, using the ASIO Dest modules, back into Cubase.
The Cubase VST5 manual states "Cubase VST processes audio internally in 32 bit float resolution". The Scope manual says to use the ASIO1-Flt source/dest 64 modules for 32 bit recording with Cubase VST. It also says (when describing the ASIO2 modules) that the single ASIO (as in ASIO2) Dest module supports all sample resolutions and adapts itself automatically to the resolution of the source module connected to it. So I am not too sure why the "ASIO2-Flt Source 64" will not work in my setup.
Has anyone used Scope with Cubase VST5 and managed to route audio back into Cubase VST5 when using the "ASIO2-Flt Source 64" module?
Thanks for any help.
