I did I couple of searches and I think I got my answer (no) but I wanted to double check. Obviously to develope devices that will work within the Scope Environment you will need CW's SDK and atoms and encryption, etc... However... How about the Analog devices SDK? Will it recognize the DSP present in the system? Or are they only designed to run on Analog's own evaluation boards? This of course, to write DSP application that will run *outside* of CW's environment... Will it work?
Thnx

SHARC SDK (Visual DSP++) and Scope
with a proper interface description it would require quite some skills but of course it would be possible to write some 'glue code' to integrate the card's DSP power into some other application.
I'm not from the faint of heart, but I'd fail miserably on that one...
Since this would in turn reveal the access method to the card's operation you can rely on the fact that it won't be published.
It would make a wonderful self-service store for DSP routines that you could load back into main memory, disassemble and include the modified source in own projects later.
cheers, Tom

Hello
Indeed - after installing the evaluation copy of Visual DSP++ and selecting the PCI option, confirmed that indeed it has no idea and has no way of knowing and getting to the SHARC installed in the Pulsar (Scope).. Oh well - It was worth the shot - I guess if one wants to try SHARC programming outside the CW environment, an evaluation board seems to be the only way...
Thnx
