I just joined this Creamware thing. I bought me a Luna11 v3.01. I intend to stay with this system and upgrade to the highest. Low latency sounds good. However I managed to get playback sound but I can't record. Can you use any seq. to rec in Luna? I also have a very serious problem with the driver routing and mixer settings. Old hardware user trying convert. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you're using microLogic for midi and another audio program for recording.

For Cooledit/Soundforge, use "Wave Source" and "Wave Destination" -- Source is sound FROM your programs (playback), Destination is sound TO your program (recording). A good basic project for Luna2 is:

Wave Source 1 -> Recording Mixer
Wave Source 2 -> Recording Mixer
DirectSound (Win98/ME only) -> Recording Mixer
Luna Analog Source -> Recording Mixer
Recording Mixer Output -> Luna Analog Destination

Then, you might setup an AUX Send pair to Wave Destination, and then to record certain tracks, you can send them out the AUX, to your Cooledit/SoundForge program.

Be sure you select the proper "Creamware Wave Source" in your sound programs.

If you have a LunaBox, then you will also want to add Zlink Source and maybe Zlink Destination modules and wire those up to the mixers, as well.

Some more discussion of routing (more midi related) is in this old thread:

That should be enough to get you started. And of course, download the manuals if you don't have them, print em out so you can read them on your lunch break at work or something
