Hi everybody,

I cannot startup scope in minimized mode. It's even worse: If scope is runing and I want to shutdown my system scope asks me each and every time whether I want to save changes to "newproject" though nothing has changed. Arghh....

Even the famous "-s" switch like reported on various topics on planetz does not work for me. I have tried that switch from command line and it seems like sfp.exe Version 4.5 does not recognize this switch: I see sfp coming up but closing down immediately afterwards. If I leave the switch away I get SFP started with my usual startup-annoyance.

It worked all fine immediately after my upgrade to scope 4.5 but only until I changed some config settings using the gui.
Since then all attempt to make it start minimized have failed.

Please help!!!!!
Thanks in advance
Peter

do you have 2 files "sfp.exe" in system configuration utility under startup,

there should be only one, i remember long time ago it happens to me, when i upgrade something and i didn't do right way, clean install with sfp should always work fine....

you have to add the -s switch in the registry (type regedit in the command line) behind sfp.exe. it's located in the run folder. i'm on a linux system atm so i can't look for the path to the run folder.

Just deinstall and reinstall it,this happens when you change the asio drivers in the ioenabler

Hi y'all. Thanks for your replies!

@pCora: I have the switch set in the registry. It does not solve my problem.

@H-Rave: Reinstall it. Arghhhh. I like SFP 4.5 but this is bad. There must be another solution! Maybe some hidden switch in on of the .ini files?

So my problem still exists. More hints would be welcome!

No actually it's not bad it's scope, exactly the same thing happened to me last week. After changing the ioenabler settings.I just did what I said and it worked. You might try a system restore. That might do something. But then having said that, scope doesn't seem to rely to heavily on the registry.Just an Idea.Good luck.

Does Scope work without the -s switch? If so, in Scope go to Set > Settings > Projects > Save as Startup - just to make sure there actually is a startup project...
