I've released the Proph@t Plus Modular - please see my Website for more information:

You could say that it's similar to the ARP 2600 approach, in that you have standard internal connects which can be re-routed, as well as having direct access to functions previously unavailable in this type of synth.

No demo version yet, but I will be happy to answer any questions you have.
