Very OT, but does anyone know how I'd remap a certain CC to a different CC in cubase? (sx 2) I'm trying to use GPO which needs modulation info, but my nord electro doesn't have modulation. So I'm trying to use the dozens of other CCs electro sends out in place of the mod CC.

So, is there something in Cubase that will allow me to do this? I've been looking around.. transformer Midi effect looks promising, but I can't quite figure it out.

Ooops, I guess it was more problem solving than OT, eh?

We made these a while back for this very job in VST. They have midi learn function, realtime parameter value feedback & work very well in VST with minimal CPU usage. They're available for download in this thread >>>

wow, perfect Shrooms! The link seems to be broken though. Kinda funny when someone's already had the same problem and has gone as far as making a VST to solve it!

scopel4life> lol, been out of the game for a while tho..

The download link is working again Ken. I forgot I'd taken them off the webspace to make room for something else

There's 2 versions of each one in the download. One VST & one VSTi. 8 in total.

Counterparts has the right suggestion. I've been using the SX built-in transformer for years to convert keyboard sus pedal (cc64) to a mod ctrl (cc01) for triggering a B4 Leslie on/off.

shroomz> downloaded your plugins!

I did get the tranformer to work, it's a strange plugin with semi-programming style syntax that I frankly can't understand.. even having a very strong max/msp background.. but anyway, I messed with it and it worked.

What's this 'semi-programming style syntax' that you can't understand Ken? You've lost me there, as these plugs are simple to use. You can learn a separate input CC for each pot & set your output CCs by just typing them into the text entry fields. Once a pot's under automation, you'll see it's 0-127 midi value range adjust in real time. That's about it.

Unless you're talking about the names? If so, octaCC & hexaCC are just playing on words, based on the number of CC channels onboard each. I doubt this is what you mean though, as it's pretty obvious.

Anyway, they're quite handy little gizmos. I'd planned to add a lot more to them, but the lack of interest recieved coupled with the amount of developement time involved was erm .. the que to put them on the shelf.

oh, I was talking about Cubase's built in "transformer" midi effect. It's picks up midi events specified with logic statements, and applies transformations on them.. and the whole interface was kind of confusing. Of course, in contrast, your plugins are completely straight forward.
