sorry folks, this must be the worst mixed & mastered dnb track ever. Must've been real tipsy last night to post this
It's 10 years old & was ruined by a CD duplicator who mastered it wrongly then blamed us for giving him a clipping mix. The clipping is awful all the way through & just for the record, my own thoughts are that the track sounds insane, but with a cleaner, more dynamic mix with more parameter automation (of which there was quite a lot) it could have been far better.
I also think someone went ott with the squeeling prophecy shreek, but one of the 3 folk involved liked it & it ending up overused.
I still quite like what's going on manipulation wise in the chopped, mashed & filtered breaks, but in this mix they sound dreadfull.
