10th Aniversary release !!

Ourselves & Kev (Koti) had the DnB itch in '96 & this was our best colaboration, except that the mix was terrible (we were high) & the mastering/duplication (done by a supposed pro) was clipping

This is re-mastered to remove the clipping, so will sound ever so slightly different to the original.

doh doh doh

sorry folks, this must be the worst mixed & mastered dnb track ever. Must've been real tipsy last night to post this

It's 10 years old & was ruined by a CD duplicator who mastered it wrongly then blamed us for giving him a clipping mix. The clipping is awful all the way through & just for the record, my own thoughts are that the track sounds insane, but with a cleaner, more dynamic mix with more parameter automation (of which there was quite a lot) it could have been far better.

I also think someone went ott with the squeeling prophecy shreek, but one of the 3 folk involved liked it & it ending up overused.

I still quite like what's going on manipulation wise in the chopped, mashed & filtered breaks, but in this mix they sound dreadfull.

ah, memories

Thanks Katano. Yeh, we've got loads of old tunes gathering dust on the shelf too

Unfortunately, a whole album's worth of this stuff was mastered & duplicated from DAT to CD by a supposed 'pro' for us & they're all badly clipping at times which is a real shame, but no great loss, as back then our mixing was terrible anyway & most of the mixes are poor

It's nice to listen back to old ideas & techniques though, even if just for our memory's sake
