export audio via cubase

is it true that i can not use the "export audio" feature in cubase when i want to have my luna synths in it..for example i get the audio from the saturn synth in the cubase mixer but when i export to aiff i get an empty file..? am i doing something wrong or is it not possible..?
i use a mac , luna 2 and cubase 5.1
can someone help?

You have to treat DPS devices like external hardware. Record them.

how exactly should i record that...
do i have to use an audio track in cubase and press the record button?

yes, but you must routh synth from pulsar to vst input. in pulsar project you must conect synth to asio destination.

There's a couple of long and detailed threads about his exact topic already running. Have a look at "A yes or no answer please to stop me going nuts" and you should be on the right track.

Personally I prefer going straight to audio in the first place, but that's just me
