Hello out there!
In my computer I have a Scope + Pulsar 2, and i'm using them together with Cakewalk Sonar 4.

It has been known to me that if i set the midi interface in the Scopeboard, to use midi A and midi B, Sonar should recognise these ports. Or?

I hoped that this should work, becouse i would like to use my Korg Trinity Plus and my Novation Supernova2 to be given eatch a separate port.

Why can't I use the midi in and out as separate ports from my Scope and my Pulasr 2? It should be like 3 different ports all to gether. Now they are all function as one port. Is this how it is or do I have to buy a separate midi interface?

Grateful for help!

you can.
there is a port for the scope card(15chip) and the pulsar card in the hardware i/o menu.

sonar however, uses the sequencer midi source/dest modules and "sees" whatever is connected to them. the sonar menu won't choose from the hardware ports, only the seq midi source/dest modules. you can have two or more seq midi modules in the project(from software i/o menu), but of course they must be present in the project BEFORE opening sonar for sonar to know of them, and you must make them all active in the options midi dialog. you can then connect one cards midi input to one seq midi dest module and the other card's to another seq midi dest module and choose the appropriate port in sonar for each track.

Hi again.
In my Scope project i have connected as follow:
Sequenser midi source to Scope A and B and Pulsar 2 midi A Dest.

Scope midi A and B and Pulsar midi 2 A source to a 4 port midi merger and then connected to Sequenser midi dest 1.

When I start Sonar and check in midi devices, sonar recognice 3 in an 3 out, but i cant use them. I can select them and put them first in the list, but they wont become available.

Any other sugestions?

that makes no sense.
midi a and b?
what card has two midi ports on it's whip?
please post a screenshot of your project.

you could just try what i described. what does the midi merger do for you? sonar WILL be able to use more than one software port if the module is present in the project BEFORE sonar is opened.

ok i replied:
"it doesn't work like that. sonar doesn't see through the seq midi modules, the modules ARE the software's "hardware" ports. get rid of the merge and put more seq midi modules in the project. wire the i/o to those, one per module. it works."
