Hey, does anyone know why, under the new 4.5 Scope OS, some Wavelenght's devices becomes unusable, sometimes they features mute output and sometimes they crashes?
Any confirm about this problem?
I've trouble i.e with: Germ, Avalon Euro, Gemini, Juicer, Plastic...

Bump.
Any suggestion?
With Scope 4.0 all was ok...maybe now some DSP are changed... what is the real difference between Scope 4.0 and 4.5?
Could be a good solution to revert to "old" Scope 4.0 instead 4.5? Wich new features could I loose in this way?
Thanks.

Some changes to the .dsp files might be possible, but you would have to manually compare with 4.0.

To my knowledge there are little "real" updates to 4.5 from 4.0. Vinco was the only old device modified. However, some small changes to core .dsp files might have been performed. We would not know until we compare.

Could there be a different source for your problems?

I think no because all was ok before the new install (from scratch) of version 4.5
Maybe some DSP are changed with upgrade and also the behavior of these OLD wavelength devices... who knows.

Anyone has my same problem? Just as comparison.

I've scanned and compared (with an automatic software) the "//scope/app/dsp" folder from Scope v.4.0 and the same from v.4.5
All seems to be the same: same date, same size, etc.
Very strange!

But if I delete all DSP from "//scope/app/dsp" of 4.5 and swap with the same files from 4.0, all works OK (all the rest of files/folders of Scope install remains as in version 4.5 , only the app/dsp folder result changed...).
So is clear that some dsp file are different between the 2 versions!

Anyway, I solved in this empirical way... I really hope that this not will compromise the stability of my system

Drastic solution: reinstalled the v. 4.0 instead 4.5
Now all works ok.
