Hi all, I am trying to get into modular synth design and I am confronted with an annoying problem. I can load any ptach from the main drop down menu, but when I try to do so from within the modular window (including the tutorials) I get the above error message (in subject) Also, not sure if this is related, but modules take insane amouunts of time to load, i.e. I load an osc, but to get it to load I need to load something else then they both pop up right away. I am using scope 4.5, hopefully this will make sense to someone else as I am anxious to get started!!!

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this!

you should "drag and drop" the modules into the modular window.

Thanks, that makes me feel dumb <g> But still does not explain my problems with trrying to load patches from within the modular window. Also note (as I forgot to mention in my previous post) I am using modular 3 and flexor.

i guess what you are trying to do is load patches with the function that actually loads modules. You should loafd patches the same way you load devices.

Yes, that would make sense, I just found it odd, why do I have the option of loading them if they won't load in that way. Thanks for your help, I've been plugging away at some basic designs here trying to get an understanding of the modular, it's quite daunting, but I think i'm getting somewhere. and if not I'm having fun so who cares <g>

You're not loading entire patches in the modular window right? Because you only can load them in the routing window or in the livebar. The modular window is a part of a patch itself, you can only drag modules inside it, not other patches

Thanks, that is what I was trying to do and it's obviously wrong, I wonder why they even have those options in the modular then? Seems silly to have the patches/tutorials there if they can't be loaded. thanks for the help!!

I think you've put the patches in a wrong directory...they must be put in DevicesModular III or whatever, but iside the Devices folder.
The Modular frame has it's own menus that just visualize another directory that's outside of the Devices folder and where only the modular modules must be put.
