I Know I didn't do it when Mr John Peel,Britains greatest DJ passed away.Without him we wouldn't have had New Order ,The Undertones,Joy Division,Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bjork or The Sugarcubes, the list does go on forever.
But anyway,thank you John.RIP.

P.S by the way,the whole 90's Top of the Pops thing...I didn't like that at all.

Yep.I remember listening to John from 10 till midnight weekdays, and the stuff he played never got into the charts, but it was all so much more imaginative.Thats why I love this forum so much,It's like the best way of travelling back in time, into the future and staying stuck in the present where things can be changed.

I owe more of my english language knowledge to John Peel than to my teachers at school...

He died nearly a year ago...did the funeral last so long?

Anyway his unforgotten sessions will always be remembered esp. in germany.

I don't know, but I've always thought that the only way you can continue to live after you die is in peoples memories of you. It's all very nice to jump on the bandwagon and say,"Oh,he was such a wonderful guy",and what have you,but all of that seems so false.
