Just instaelled Scope 4 on my system (Pulsar 2 in slot 1 with IRQ 4 and Luna in slot 5 with Irq 4 (no IRQ sharing with other features) + Luna extension board in my P4 with Asus P4P800). Drivers installed perfectly but after installing and starting Scope software I get the folowing message: cannot create stdm board connection module scon2mt1.... When I look for settings it says there is no board installed ...even though I set the activation keys when installing and it recognise the Luna and Pulsar Z link in hardware options in the routing window.
Would any of you good people know what the problem seems to be?
Do you need new activation keys for the old CW cards with the scope 4 software?
Thnx

Thnx for the replies guys.
Got the a new allkey file form CW in the mail today. Chucked out the Luna card and reinstalled drivers/software. Pulsar working fine. Gonna try the Luna again in 5 minutes.
Strange thing though... the scope 4.0 key listed in the received allkey file from CW is different from the key listed on 'my pag' @ Creamwaqre.com...hmmmm?! I reported it to CW and hope they adjust the 'my page' settings for later reference. It might have something to do with the probs.
Will give update report soon....

YES! workes.
Might be the new key and/or the sequence of instalation that did it. Thanks!
So a hint for all slow learners like myself...........
1) Free up IRQ settings in BIOS by limiting USB connections to the minimum of what you need, turn of AGP to IRQ stearing for your AGP card.
2) Check the LIST of PCI slots and shared IRQ's in your Motherboard documentation and install your cards in the slots which dont share with others. (The documentation should be correct in Standard PC mode but could alter in ACPI mode)
3) Install drivers for the cards but not the software
4) Check IRQ settings in controlpanel/system/ (press view by type). The cards should not share IRQ with other devices (but could share with other CW cards). If not: uninstall drivers and try other slot combinations. Install drivers again.
5) When you're happy with the IRQ settings - take out all but your main card. Uninstal drivers for your extra cards.
6) install software, start software and check that everything is ok (sound - routing etc).
7) install your 1st extra card in your Computer. It should pop up in your controlpanel/system as DSP board and in the SCOPE sofware with it's rightful name without any further driver instalations.
repeat point 7 with your extra cards.
Hint for the greenest of greens: Remember ofcourse STDM cable, turning of machine each time you fiddle around in there:D

Let's continue contribuing to a 'step by step instalation/prob solving guide'.
Maybe cross reference/link to old planetz articels/solutions for known and unknown problems.
It's a jungle out there...so let's try making a SIMPLE but EFFECTIVE step by step guide for future reference...
Keep em' coming
