I kown there is a lot going on here about the update. What bugs me personaly, is the fact the I tried to contact Creamware before i was going to update as I didn't know which Bundle to choose and what I was going to get for it. But i didn't get any reply. That's quite sad. The other thing is that the announcement is only written in English. I'm German as they are. To me it doesn't make much sense not to use our native language, which on both sides could avoid misunderstandings.
But thanks to all the Planetz users for the useful informations given. Without this forum my Creamware Cards would be for sale.

that's obvious that you feel kind of left standing in the rain, but there's also another obvious fact...
let's assume half of the registered users here have a Scope system
and let's assume same rights for all and each person is served in 2 minutes

that makes 1500x2/60 = 50 hours non stop

most likely 2 minutes will not be enough and hopefully they have a few more customers, but even under optimistic assumptions (fewer requests etc) it's clear that they have no chance at all to provide that service equally for any user who applies.

so they cease it completely - if they started to react, an avalanche of calls would break in, if someone published to have had success in direct communication.

this is not to excuse (or 'defend' as some prefer...), but simply to explain - I'm not unfamiliar with similiar situations when there wasn't not enough staff to deal with something.

Of course you annoy people this way, but it's 'easier' (btw for both sides...) because you're bound to fail anyway - and once you HAVE started a (whatever) action, there WILL be a re-action much heavier than if you just keep your head down 'in the hood'

as you can see I'm German, too - but as 80% of my tech lecture is in english anyway, I sometimes have more problems to express things in German...

cheers, Tom

I totally agree on the fact that they might not be able to answer personally to my question.
But on the other hand they should have reacted to all the posts here or the flood of e-mails the recieved be making clear what upgrades include for their previous products, like the scope SB bundle or the pulser 1 or 2 ect. They didn't have to many configurations in the past. And they are in the computer business, so updating a web site should be possible for them.

By the way, I can totally understand your preference for the English language in this field. I have a similar problem. As a drummer educated in London I always face problems when teaching, as I struggle to find the German Expressions.

Hi Ali,

Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions here and for being patient in spite of all our grumbling (of which I've done some myself!). Many of us feel that calling the new Scope "4.5" is rather ridiculous considering nothing has changed in the software since 4.0, but I'm sure when you come out with "Scope 5.0" in the future there really will be something new. Hopefully the ASBs will be popular (which I think they are) and you'll be able to revive the Scope platform with new technology and new DSPs.

Hello,

Note that it is possible to install the version 4.5 without the new license key. I did it yesterday on my pc and it is working fine.

If you have already the 4.0 driver installed, it 'll not prompt you to install the new driver. Just do exactly like for the installation of the version 4.0.

During the installation, import the allkey file when requested and import it again during the start of the application right after the installation.

All the modules available in the previous version 'll be available.

Don't forget to save your projet files before starting the installation, otherwise it 'll be deleted.

Cheers

I've been away from PlanetZ and now having read this thread still dont understand what I would get for my 98euro.

@Menno
as far as I can see, you can upgrade your pulsarII to a scope project with or the S&S pack or the M&M pack
with both you will get SBC and in your case you will gain a pro-12 and a B2003 with the S&S pack. The VDAT an Vocodizer with the M&M pack.
like I said: as I see it after a quick look at your list.

OK! I read all of this and since I have everything already except SBC which is dubious at 98 euros, this is what I did to upgrade:

I downloaded the 4.5 setup zip. I copied the about.mdl to my 4.0 SFPAppSFPApp folder - replacing the existing one. Now when I click on the "?" "About" it says "Version 4.5".

That's all I conclude I really need for my upgrade!!!!

PS: I also copied the StartLogo and the SFP.EXE (to get the "square icon".

Menno:

My thinking is I would use the HW Serial Number that has the most stuff (Your Pulsar 2) to insure you get the most new keys. (If that's how they figure it). I still don't think anyone is really clear on it!
