A song for a department store (redo). Hell, I scoff at my bad harmonization (LOTS of bad harmony) but I praise my quick work. 4 hours. This song is supposed to be 5 minutes.. I got lazy so I just looped it. (so this is the short version) The guys at the department store can't tell anyway. hehe. They've got such bad ears.. it's hard to believe. In another song, I had 4 different motifs and they're like, "please only use the first one and loop it".. and I'm like, "duh, that's going to drive the people insane!" Well, now we all know why department store music sucks. Anyway, that's exactly what I did in this tune. The second time you listen to it, you'll be so sick of the melody you'll want to smash your speakers.
Ya wanna know how lazy I got? This track isn't mastered.. hell it's not even mixed. It's just straight from the Triton. Do I care? No way! No respect for the department store dudes. Ugh!
Coming to think about it... this song has nothing to do with pulsar.. so please remove it if you find it a problem. The song sucks anyway. hehe. You'll agree. But they're going to LOVE it. Strange world we live in ain't it?

This is a bit scary - but if you want to hear something really scary check out KPMG's theme song.
(nothing to do with me I hasten to add)

oh.. the 145 combo at the beginning ya mean.. well, people tend to do similar things when they want soemthing simple? hehe.
the KPMG vocal is really nice by the way. But the lyrics are almost religious!
Oh, now that I think of it, I feel really bad about not making this song better before the final go. I mean, sure they wanted something totally wierd but it's my job to get it done in maximum style with the allowed freedom. Who's paid to be creative, ya know what I mean? OH well, too late now. It's going to be mailed within hours anyway. So much for creative conscience. hehe.

Wow! Very nice melody! I like it! Impressive intro, nice using chords near ending, even it's not completed.
I like the bass, DX sounding and Pk/Sol-guitars/Piano are not bad at all (not for strings).
Overall, it is a pretty clean composition! However, the kick and and tom seem be a bit out of tune. I wouldn't put too much reverb on the kick.
Good works for a short period time anyway, It's really enjoyable song!
Regards,
Long

LHong.. Man, you're a positive man! Well, I guess I tried reaaaallly hard to keep the melody simple and clean.. I guess it's pretty ok for the amount of time I spent on it..
Guess what, department dudes want to start using it on Jan 1.. an ya know what that means? I have to be on standby to make adjustments 'till then.. so there goes Christmas, and possibly new years. Don't ya just LOOVE working??

Yeah.. depends alot on the type of tune. Ones that require proper harmonization take quite a while.. and other more percussive ones can be pretty quick. But usually, 1 song all the way to master state is one whole day for me. Vocal pieces may take 2 or 3 days, depending on the vocal's abilities. So this is like the best time/quality ratio for me. I do more than one song a day, the quality starts to drop. It's best for me to do like 2 songs in 2 days, and switch back and forth. Keeps my brain fresh. But sometimes that ain't an option.
Anyway, heard rumors about guitar people being much faster in writing songs.. 's that true?
