Basically the same as the BlackBox version, but a little bit less optimised in relation to dsp/memory use than the v 1.1 available now in user area.
Done for electric bass - especially when it is already recorded on audio tracks - but is fine for phaser lovers too. Please note it is not a "pre-amp", and your bass must go through a preamp before going to your Scope card anyway.
Mono Only.
::::: QUICK NOTES ::::::
Bass T is a bass amplifier/transformer with multiband compression and a phaser effect. Mono Only, no Midi, insertable effect.
Typical use for mixing electrical bass, synth bass, or using as an "amp" for rehearsal and recording. Please note that Bass T will be easier to use on audio tracks.
The Amp section consist of 3 band Equalizer with Gain and frequency control. It is backed up with a 2 band eq which can be switched to a "dual twin-band" curve equalizer, which is an equalizer where the gain of 2 frequencies is always linked. The eq can be used as a parametric eq with 2 bands of different pairs, or all 4 bands with close frequencies. It is in fact very efficient and much more easy to use than a parametric eq. At least, it can do a great part of eq job.
The compressor is dependent on the input gain and the "comp" ratio. There is a tick on the input vu meter, which shows the correct volume before compression. More can create a drive/distortion effect.
the multiband compressor : On the "COMP" page, you can set the compression ratio of the treble "in relation to" the bass compression ratio. That way it is faster to find nice settings than doing it seperately. Under heavy Med/Hi compression, you can compensate for treble loss with the 3 band eq, or the Curve equalizer. Compression ratio goes approximately from 1.5 to +inf, eventhough it depends on the "Input" gain and "Comp" value (for ex, with too low input volume, compression is non existent).
The phaser The phaser is not based on any previously released phaser atom/dsp of any kind. It is a typical bass phaser that allows really fat classical effects with the right settings. By putting the "depth" and "offset" controls to their minimal position, kind of chorus effects can be achieved. Move the offset to slightly modify the tone of the phaser.
The phaser sound is very dependent on the AMP and EQs settings (needs more or less trebles to be heard). do not hesitate to try various equalisations, and the presets should give ou an overview of various settings.
Another version (which is more optimized interms of dsp) is available for BlackBox & Silverdisc users in the user area, together with a version with a mono overtone chorus.
