How do I set them up so that they work together?
Do I have to set my ASIO connections in my Pulsar 2 default project before installing the PCI-324 card that comes with the the MOTU 2408mkII? I also use Logic Audio PLatinum 4.5(although not very proficiently).
Thanks for your input!

I'm not sure if I understand you totally. Are you saying you're trying to get Pulsar II to communicate to the MOTU PCI-324 card through ASIO and then to the 2408? If this is the case then this does not work at all; you need to.....
You either want to use the Pulsar Card or the PCI 324 Card; not both. The Pulsar does not communicate with the PCI 324 Card through ASIO. Think of them as two separate systems from your computer. ASIO is used for software, i.e., Logic to communicate with hardware. You can either send the audio tracks from Logic through Creamware ASIO to the 2408 through Pulsar's analog outs or Pulsar's ADAT connections or you can send the audio from Logic direct to the 2408 through MOTU's own connection (which is the Firewire IEEE 1394 protocol though MOTU doesn't call it that) in which case you don't need to launch your Pulsar environment. You'll need to choose the correct ASIO drivers in Logic's hardware setup menu.
And if you're on a Macintosh (??)......when both Pulsar and MOTU systems' software is installed you're given the choice in the Sound Control Panel to choose between Pulsar OR 2408 as the input/output source for your sound.
I think there's a little about the ASIO Source and Dest Modules in the Pulsar documentation. It might make it a little clearer.
I hope I understood your question correctly and I didn't go on too long. Good luck.

The problem I have now is that even though i have no conflicts in my IRQs, The software does not recognise the fact that the PCI-324 IS installed. Everything works, according to Windows( I have a PC with a PIII 933Mhz and
256 Mgs of RAM). But everytime I try to start up the console
I am told that the hardware is not there...
It's very discouraging given the fact that I'm one of the unlucky who purchased Logic 4.0.3 which was ungradeable(that's a story for another forum).
Please help(again)

I've not had good luck using the P2 and 2408 together. They tend to use too much resources for little functonal gain. What does work quite well, is taking out the PCI324 card, and just using the lightpipe I/O to the 2408 box. Use the front panel to adjust clock and I/O. Solid!
BTW, Logic is great with the P2 card!

Whoever said that was not telling the truth. Logic did change their download area and some of the old updates were lost. I bought 4.0 and after their change I complained that the updates would not work. They sent me a newer version at no charge. I havn't had a lot of luck getting Emagic to work, but they did send me a new CD.
