Hello there Z people. I've got an old BJC - 2000, downloaded the latest driver-program from Canon, but when installling it, XP will not detect the printer. Anyone having this printer or knowing which is the problem? I have installed and unistalled it many times, tryed all the availabe ports, got to BIOS to check for problems, but everything is ok. The printer is ok to for sure... Not a clue...

Of course, I have chosen "manual selection" too, but did not work either. Almost alwyas tryed with LPT 1. I've tried with all the others, but no succes.

Some people are reporting that the WMF bug patch caused their printers not to work.

Cheers Brain. I don’t know what this bug is, but I have solved the problem. The problem is basically, a windows update. While this update is not there, the printer will install without problems. I solved the problem already, thank you.

Is the update the WMF fix? If you don't patch it you could be sorry.
