My first post in this hopefully very helpful forum
I have two Scope Project cards (one classic and one XTC retrofitted with ADAT I/O). I run Windows XP SP 2. In the scope application all works fine, I run guitar throught preamp->spdif in->scope->spdif out->g-major. But when I run the same setup in Cubase SX 3 I get sound input on the meters, but no output. I also cannot playback ordinary sound files, mp3's and so on, it says "The hardware caonnot playback this kind of file" (on .mp3 and .wav files)!! Any ideas??
Regards,
Peter

welcome Peter

For Cubase:
Pulsar2 SP-DIF SOURCE > scope mixer chn 1
From mixer chn 1 (or MIX L/R if you don't intend to use direct out) > ASIO DEST
...now you have signal to Cubase, then
ASIO SOURCE 1 > scope mixer chn 2
...now you have signal out of Cubase

To play from eg mediaplayer, you need to connect a wave source to the mixer.

Thanx for reply!
But is it not possible to run a media player, e.g. Winamp without having SFP installed (just using WDM drivers?)

Peter

no. scope is not a simple windows soundcard. scope is a hardware environment, the routing window is required. for music production, this is a good thing. for games and such, it might be a bit of a bother.

I've always got an Asio source, a Wave source and an Analog source going into the mixer on my Startup File.
