Right, now I know this seems like a really stupid thing to have a problem with but I was under the impression that some of the synths included with pulsar are polyphonic, the manual says so, but no matter what I do, I can only seem to get one note at a time, apart from in the sample player (2000P). But when I load up soundfonts, once again I have only one note at a time, on some soundfonts but not all, my dsp is not overloading. I have a PulsarI card running Win2K. Someone please tell me what on earth I am doing wrong please!!!!

Adjust the number of voices on the devices from "1" to a higher number. Do this by using the Device Pulldown at the top of the screen, and changing the "1" to a higher number.

Thanks SubHuman, that helped with the synths.
But with the soundfonts, a particular soundfont still cuts out, and adjusting the voice in the device list from 16 to any other number causes Pulsar to bomb out completely, st2000p and ver3.01 win2k.
One for Creamware techie support?

You're not changing the midi channel, are you
That's also a selection in that aera... one is left below the icon, the other right below. Dunno which is where, I normally use the Device Window to set midi channel and Preset View to set polyphony.

on the main program page in the sts sampler is a voice allocation field at the far right. it must be > 1 for polyphony. likewise on the device bar at the time of pulsar OS, but you already know that since you got the synths to work. definitely NOT a question for CW support, I doubt they would answer a question like that, and if they did, they would probably say "RTFM."

Thanks for the posts, yeah your right I was changing the midi channel. Which okay I'm prepared to admit is my own stupid fault, but that fact remains that if you go to change the midi channel to 2 and you type 32 by mistake, that should not make a pro piece of software bomb out?
Changing the polyphony on the sts2000p surface has no effect on me still only getting one note (at best two) at a time, But looking at the key groups each note triggers 12 samples, may 2000p can't handle it?
