Just installed the Cubase SE3 sequencer which requires a USB dongle. Never used a dongle before. (No problems activating the dongle online, so that is not the issue.) Now that SE3, Scope and Noah remote run, my computer freezes.

SE3 and Scope runs smoothly, but once I start NOAH remote, which communicates with NOAH via USB, full Stop occurs. Also, Cubase SE2, which does not require USB dongle, works fine with both Scope and NOAH remote running.

It definately is a USB conflict that crashes my system. Has anyone encountered similar issues on other Steinberg products that requires dongle? Is there an easy solution?

My USB 1.1 / 2.0 / Firewire ports are on a dedicated PCI card that I bought recently - no problems, all works fine, until now...

You don't mention what OS you use as well as what platform. Do the 2 USB things are in the same slot (ie via a hub)? Regardless of which socket they occupy - try to swap them.

I've had Noah and a Cubase dongle together at least one year, without big trouble.
There has been some issues, but after installing SFP 4.5 (upgrad over SFP4.0) it works verry well again.
So what i had of problem, was probably register or bad file related

I even used 2 dongles for a period of time.

Don't know if it is Steinberg to blame, but USB seems unstable. On this, my surfing pc, the keyboard (usb) takes a break when and after i use the printer.

A WIN pc never lets you down, it just keeps you alert
