BLESS flexor!!

thanks to flexor i was able to trigger a kik drum recorded live with extreme precision...
and to put in tune (manually) my singer which sang some notes out of tune!!!

FleXor is great! If you have some nice custom patches, why don't you upload them?

but they are extremely simple... and this also is the reason why flexor is great!!

I always admired how deeply one could change a sound with those 'simple' Flexor example patches

that's why I rarely use it... one could go on for hours and hours...
sometimes I have to get some work done to pay the rent etc etc...

Glad to hear!

But why were you triggering your recorded Kick sample via midi? Isn't it more presiced to place it on its exact location on a sequencer's audio channel?

And how did you tuned your singer with flexor? were you manually tweeking with its pitch shifter? Isn't it better to use AutoTune for that matter?

triggering a kick, could be a way of using the original one to play another instrument.

About the pitch correction, it's true, with autotune you can do it, but with flexor you can do it, without the need of autotune licensed software.

Didn't want to start a new thread, but when you combine Flexor with Solaris, does it give Solaris a digital flavor, or could I enhance the analog flavor, like the CEM's seem to do. I have to mix most of my OSC's down in volume to keep the CEM's on top when I emulate my Oberheims, and such. But it really sounds buzzy w/ the Tube filter and CEM's together. Don't want to buy anything that will change that flavor. Does it have WAV Oscillators also? I sure would like to get the fidelity of my WAV's up a little w/o sharing the filters that give me the analog sound I'm getting.

flexor does not have wav oscillators, but it have hq modules from filters to envelopes to saturation and so on.
I always use the flexor and the biosc (spacef) stuff inside the solaris rd slots (or from the modular shell).

I will find a workaround with the WAV.'s. Their fidelity sucks IMHO. I tried the JD800 WAV's and they were O.K., but the Kyma stuff is so much better sounding in Solaris than those. I will buy Adern, and SpaceF, stuff. These should be enough for me for now. My goal is to add great sounding digital Kyma based WAV's, to an analog emulation done in Solaris 4.0. My analog gear will do the mono stuff. BTW, my next gig is dance orientated w/ Kyma based DJ. I won't be using B2003 at all, and my live rig is going to be 2 x 15 DSP, and 1 x 6 DSP. Solaris should be happy, and that should cover 3rd party add ons as well. If not, I'll break out the Oberheim combo again. The 2 look so nice on my custom dark blue plexi-glass stand, made for Matrix 12/ XPander set-up. At this gig, the DJ wears LCD mounted sunglasses, and has racks of stuff he doesn't even use, in other words the look is in here in Las Vegas. As long as I don't have to paint my hair purple.
