Nestor, Astroman, Hubird and Gary, I LOVE YOU, GUYS!!

Nestor, you saved my life
The IO Enabler did the trick.
I hadn't set it up yet, because I thought it was only meant for XTC mode, because of it's name.
As far as I can remember, Scope 4.0 didn't have this extra program and activated the ASIO drivers automaticly, but appearently I had to do it manually here.

Thanks again

PlanetZ forever!!!

cheers, Darce

I'm so glad it was that simple... otherwise Gary solution would have been the only one: killing the C drive and start again.

GREAT! Let's make some music now!

maybe it got lost somehow ?
in my SFP 3.1c it's in sfpappioenablerioenabler.exe together with a file xtc.dat, so I never really cared about it.
anyway, a useful finding

I think the I/O enabler did come up when I installed 4.5, but my mistake was that I ignored this window and pressed cancel, because there was a XTC logo in the window and thought that wouldn't matter for normal scope use (no XTC mode). I've should have known better
Thanks everybody for your concern! I really really appreciate that

Now let's make some music
