I have bought the upgrade offer from Creamware and really enjoy my new synths and other plug-ins. I see from reading the other threads that there may be several updates to the .dsp files and other small updates (logos and the like)
Can anybody help me with doing a 'full' manual update to SCOPE 4.5 while we are still waiting to see if there will be a installer for OS 9!
Thanks

Don't expect any changes besides (which is neough for me) new devices/synths.On 2005-12-07 09:33, stebzilla wrote:

There is no new feature/bugfix in the update (correct me if I'm wrong) so don't bother it. The only thing in visual aspect you get in the update is the new splash screen (AFAIK) featuring 4.5 writing on it. So there is no need to update anything in your Scope 4 folder (besides the new great synths/devices)Can anybody help me with doing a 'full' manual update to SCOPE 4.5 while we are still waiting to see if there will be a installer for OS 9!

I'm only guessing here as I'm waiting for my activation code (also Mac)
Of course we could write here again about the mess in the update site (nobody really knows what to expect in their appropriate update); we could write here again that the 4.5 stands for new software bundle and not for bug fixes or new features (though the new devices ARE new features). We could write here about no clear statement if the update is for Mac users or not... But what for? It's CWA stuff to take the problem. We can only guess here what we will have while they have to answer all the questions/doubts. Having in mind there is 35000 CWA cards sold (they say about such amount somewhere) this is HUGE JOB to do. But it was not me to put them in this trouble. They did it themselves. Really, 5 or even 10 sentences of explanation would avoid the mess...
In a few words: the offer IS great but the info regarding it is very poor organized...

OK, emotions down, let's focus on the topic:
Besides synths (and the SBC) there are some new fx like master flanger and so on. The new fx are to find in Effect Package 2 in ths location. However I didn't find any installer for the SBC - so you have to manually find the file in the PC install folder (it is in Devices/Effects/Basic/Stereo folder. It requires a DSP file but its absence info appears (with the DSP file name) when you load the plugin. Just find it with Sherlock or whatever.
IMPORTANT!
Don't change the name of your Scope folder because it may cause an odd behaviour of Scope software.

The DSP files you mention installs while installing synths so there's no need to put them manually. If you want the startup logo you can exchange the ones in SP4folder/App/SFPApp/StartUpLogo.pro with the same called item found in the 4.5 installer folder. To have the About Scope window go deeper in the same folder to Dialogs folder and exchange the About.mdl item.On 2005-12-07 09:33, stebzilla wrote:
