while i was trying SBC ( http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... &forum=1&1 ) i take also a look at what PsyQ does to the signal.
i used a pink noise generator to feed PsyQ, and i monitored the results with a sprectum analyzer (voxengo SPAN).
i noticed that, when all the knobs are at zero. nothing happens (of course!)

BUT: try to keep bass, mid and high setting all to 0/min and begin to raise the process knob (first on the left).
even if all the settings are to minimum, there is a great pump (>10/20dB!) in the very high frequency range (18.000 - 20.000 Hz). due to my ears, i am not able to listen to it  , anyway it is there...
as with SBC... is it a choice (so this behaviour is normal) or is it a bug/problem?

i forward this message to CW, too...

i think this is normal, because the minimum value is not a bypass.

I'm not an expert of PsyQ as I have it but never happens to use it, but the "Process" should be the amount control while the other knobs define frequency ranges.

I've owned an hw bbe maximizer many years ago, I don't know if it uses the same process, but I can remeber that it had a low contour knob and a process knob, and the latter had an effect on highs. So I argue that the process happens anyway just with the process function.
