Probably a bug, but if I save and reload a project in 3.1c, the channel comp forgets its sidechain setting. Is this a known issue? Is it fixed in 4.0? or 4.5?

Hoi Ken,

This is - I hope  - a known bug, in 3.1c as in 4.0. The only way of saving the sidechains is by using an external compressor. Not sure what would happen if you'd insert the compressor plugin in the insert rack.

Afaik, 4.5 only gives a couple of new keys, no rewritten devices. If that'd be the case, CW should let existing STM owners get their new fixed versions too, eh.

Greetings

I'm affraid it IS a bug known for a long time. I use sidechains a lot, and every time when I reopen a project with sidechain compressor, the sidechain is removed.
Very annoying indeed
I hope the next REAL software update will finally solve this problem.

*edit*: I always used it in the insert slots, that doesn't work. I can't remember I tried it as an external device. I'll try that soon.

Cheers Darce
