[dsp]
maxpcchannels=xxx

xxx Default is 256

Try to decrease the value until you get no errors.
My courrent value is 180
I have a doubt about the final "s" on "maxpcchannels", sorry, I'll post later if wrong. Anyway you could try both with low value like 100.

Bye

I'm in communication with Creamware USA about a problem I've got with one project - able to run fine in version 2.00 but with 3.00 keep getting PCI overflows. No response as yet and I haven't been too impressed with Mr Paul Tanti so far.

They've had the relevent files for a week now with no response. I'll hassle next week.

That wasn't all that clear....

What I mean was, a project which does not suffer from PCI overflow in v2 does when converted to a v3 project.

I've noticed I can run far more in v2 than v3 but since I've started a bunch of projects in v3 I'm kinda stuck with it.

I suggest you go back to v2 and have a go with that. I wouldn't be surprised if what you want to do runs fine on the old version.

Sometimes a problem exists which doesn't anywhere else. In fact many problems people report on these forums, I have never run into, and they stem from strange computer configuration issues, or corrupted, improper installs or upgrades. There are so many variables and generally it's difficult to get a full picture of everything that's happened on someone's machine, particularly over the phone where one person is demanding a response, and the other is trying to gather enough information to even begin to process where the issue might happen.

Anyway feel free to start a thread with the complete details of your system and we'll give it a shot. You may not be 'too impressed' by any of us, either, though.

Thanks Sub, but I'm relatively tekkie and had made double sure that I knew there'd been no changes in system config apart from Pulsar deinstall/reinstall before contacting Creamware. Unless the project file can affect device PCI usage & somehow get corrupted in conversion from v2 to v3, (which doesn't seem likely: that'll be decided by the devices no? and they're external to the project file), I can only assume PCI bus handling has somehow changed. The potential for fuckup with that XTC stuff scares me (disabled in my setup BTW).

Anyway, Paul's been in contact with me to say he'll be on it (in a bit...); I'll keep y'all updated on another thread.
