Backup any important data & configuration information I would say. That's about all I'd do before re-installing the system.

Are you doing a clean install, or an over-the-top one by the way?

Not forget to repartition the HD.

I haven't done my HD washing up yet

But I can't remember what is hapening with the Scope software ... there is an Activate Scope section on the Creamware web site. So what the what is that ??? Anybody know ?
