XTC
i don't use XTC-mode for my pulsar, but i must tell you, my first months with this platform were not that beautiful at all. this stuff doesn't reveal it's power at your first try. maybe the xtc will not work for you, but have a 'real' go first. and read the advice found in this forum carefully and thoroughly, it helps a lot!

It's not bad, the XTC. The effects are not as astonishing as e.g. the waves ones, but they are of a solid good quality. None of the synths is as astonishing as e.g. the Pro-52 vsti. They are okay, at least some of them. Sometimes a little thin, perhaps. If you also have the Luna, you can use the whole XTC stuff under Luna OS, realtime and no latency. That's a big advantage, specially for playing the synths. Meanwhile, I see the XTC as a (soundwise) middle quality extension that is surely good enough to take workload from my cpu when straightforward effects and sounds are required. For more delicate stuff, like compressing/reverberating vocals, I still use waves. It just sounds better. And for that shiny analogue strings-pad, none of the XTC synths comes even close to the Prophet (Pro-52). I still think that in particular the vectron player has a good potential, though.
