I have installed SFP many times, and I know almost all about it, so this is a disparate call, because I don’t know what else to do.
I’m having big problems to install Pulsar. I never had problems before. First was the dedicated ASIO driver not being recognize by SX.
When reinstalling everything, IRQ Nº 21 has disappeared and now I can’t install the Scope driver… The process goes on, but then it says “device installation error”, “no valid data”.
I went to device manager, and was surprised to see there is a yellow spot with the typical exclamation sign. What is going on here? I can’t find out
PLEASE, HELP ME with this!

Just in case you don’t remember, I use an Asus P4PE mobo
Latest BIOS 1007
Win XP Pro
1GB DDR
A stable Thermaltake power supply with 420watts.
Pulsar I Plus
Pentium IV 2.4
The system runs perfectly stable in all other areas, graphics, etc, and it runs fast.

I have to say that, very unfortunately, I’ve got a bloody set of viruses without even being aware of then, I removed them but... I use firewall and antivirus too, but they smack me when doing some upgrades… We are in such a time that I recommend everybody to first, install a firewall and antivirus and THEN get online for windows update.
Garyb, when you say repartition the drive, are you saying to format just C or the entire HD and then install everything again, and partition again? It’s a matter of terms, please, tell me what you are suggesting exactly.
I need the system to get to work immediately.
Thank you guys for your answers…

then under all conditions - be relaxed and careful. On 2005-11-02 14:31, Nestor wrote:

you do not get your work results any faster because of an ultrafast setup - the opposite will strike you - as sure as your disk will crash when you don't have a backup.
even more important: your mind will need a significant amount of time to settle if you drive an install session to the max, so YOU woukd be in working conditions even later...
sorry that I can't help you with the XP thing, but I'm passing some good vibes this way

best wishes, Tom
