Hello: I am trying to route the audio from my
Windows Media Player into CW tripledat. This is running on a Pulsar. I tried Wav source and others first. None work.
I use "Direct sound source" because that is named in my WMP outputs.
Looking at the Windows Media Player; I select
Tools>options>Devices>speakers/output
>propreties.
That gives me a choice of output destinations. In that dropdown window the choices are;
"Direct sound:Creamware Play/Record 1;
"Direct sound:Creamware play/record 2;
"Direct sound Realtek AC97 Audio;
"Default sound source.
I have tried all these outputs and different CW input routing options, with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

you cannot directly link to TripleDat in MediaPlayer.
in the latter you have to select the wave devices, then in SFP the Wave Source must be linked to TripleDat destination.

in any case you'll need the Triple SFP module, which
a.) you have to aquire if you don't own any version of Triple
b.) which you get (discounted) as an update, if you cannot use your Triple board (for whatever reason)
c.) you can download free of charge if a Triple board is installed that acts as a hardware key

cheers, Tom

mike try the following:

in triple LE under window and open routing setup hook up

wave source ---> an SFP mixer ---->triple LE Mixer (L&R)----> LE Mixer out to Pulsar analog destination

Make sure to hit record on triple LE to hear media player.

OK, Thanks I originally tried the wav source, but it didn't work, so that's the cause of my fishing expedition. I now get audio to triple by routing the wav source into a mixer BEFORE Triple. I still cannot monitor,while in record, but it plays back fine, so I'm sure I'l get it all sorted out eventually.
Thanks for your suggestions, Mike

If you push the main record buttom on the top (not single ch) you should get to hear what you are recording.

To monitor only input signal into triple LE take the L&R out of the SFP mixer and connect to your Card analog DEST.

Antar : Yes that's what I did...I don't know why it won"t monitor the usual way...very strange. But I have re-routed from the pre-mixer so I can do it that way.
Thanks, Again, Mike

do you have multiple cards?
make sure the tripleLE mixer (mix L&R) is connected to the right analog destination.

I can hear my media player when I push record/pause on the tripleLE.

check your routing.

Antar: No mult in this PC. I had my Luna card here with Pulsar, but took it out to use in another PC (with old Triple license). This is my regular routing; triple mixer to Pulsar analog output. Monitoring works while recording other stuff. Another funny thing with this setup is that the meters in Triple don't work while recording, only the meters on the channel faders. So I can't really tell if I'm recording or not. But it works every time on playback.
