I've 2x Pulsar 2s with cubase sx3 in XTC mode. All very stable (after days and days!)but no matter what ULLI setting I use in cubase control panel the input and output latencies each remain at 24.694 - too long.

I'm sure I've had it down to 4ms at some points in the last few days - and I haven't changed any hardware / configuration.

Why is it stubbornly not going below 24.694?

No matter

Remember that for xtc you have to set the value in the cset.ini...
The control panel setting is not remembered.

See post by "mano" (2nd post overall) - gives details about values for "intBlkSize" in "sfpappbincset.ini"

hi, I have this exact same problem >24..ms latency and cset tweaking doesn't make any changes , did you find out the ghost ?

Hi,
I could never get the intblksize trick in the Cset.ini working here, with SX2.

My roundtrip always has been immediatly after open Sx (no project open) I go to Device setup/vst multitrack/control panel/Ulli-asio and click on the desired setting (that is already signed but not active) and I click on the point 4ms 44.1 usually. Then answer yes if you want activate the ulli setting because it will never be really active after a restart, so I must do this everytime I start SX.
You may always check the in/output latency in the VSTmultitrack panel and it's better (less) than it shows there. My input latency is commonly 3ms with asio32 source64 dest at 24bit/44.1khz.
And it's also possible to direct monitor in XTC though if you want to add some FXs then count with asio latency on them (generally acceptable in my case)

lucky you zezappa !!,
my ulli control panels in nuendo doesn't seem to have effect and nuendo always shows this 24ms in and sometimes 60 out, bizar..hasn't someone the same problem, I would dream to have a 4 ms latency in xtc.

I have done this just last week and it works.
make sure you are doing it right.

From the Gonzoft Post

Add the following entry into your Cset.ini

located in /SFP/App/Bin/Cset.ini

add the line below and =( the latency you want)

[XTC-config]:
intBlkSize=256

follow the chart below to select the latency you desire.

64: latency = 3 ms
128: latency = 4 ms
256: latency = 7 ms
512: latency = 13 ms
1024: latency = 25 ms

Unbelievable..., what a fool I am

it really works, I had just look at [HW] below value too. Forget about my previous post above, please.

Anyway, XTC has been an easyer way of learning/working for me, as I had never tweaked real devices, I'm now using SFP mode too and it's great to find both ways for different (or not) results and situations.
Sorry me, sometimes...
