I'm barely getting a grasp on Scope 4.0, so now finally I'm starting to play in Modular III. The only experience I have with modular programming was the ARP 2600. Back then I was more interested in presets, i.e. OBX, Prophet, etc. But this device is extremely deep, and I must admit, you'll be hearing from me more I'm afraid. But I was wondering if anyone has any MII, or MIII, patches with that fat ass OBX sound that Rush used on Tom Sawyer? I seem to be better at reverse engineering with this synth, than programming my own right now. I need big sweeping filter sounds similar to Oberheim 2-pole,24db.

Have you got Flexor?

Juicy filters, and more

Wayne,
No I haven't, but it will be my new toy tommorrow, especially if I can create some old style analog sounds on it. Your choice of words has sold me. I describe my XPanders' filters as buzzy, and drippy. I am so close to retiring my last peices of hardware for live performance thanks to scope, and certain 3rd party developers. My basement is loaded with nothing but vintage gear, which has served me well for years, and deserves its proper burial in an air conditioned studio. If I could just get my money back for my cases, I would be able to pay cash for a new vehicle, no lie. All of them were custom Anvil cases, for they were the only game in town back in the day.

Thank You,
Jimmy V.

Thanks Gents, I was browzing through Wavelengths stuff and noticed the OP8 synth. Sounds familiar. Yes I am stuck in vintage world, and cannot leave until I'm satisfied that I have all the sounds I use to get from hardware covered. But once I'm satisfied I will move on to Kyma, or Solaris style synthesis. That should pique my interests for quite some time.

I just had the pleasure of hearing the SparC and have to say I was impressed. An associate of mine uses it in his recordings in duo-phonic mode mostly, but he placed his intervals, mostly 4ths, and 5ths, right behind Guitar power chords, for that particular application, it's just what the doctor ordered.
