I have Pulsar one with Scope4 program. When trying to launch Cubase SX3 (latest) it stalls when initialising Sim and Sim2K, which are dll files I found in the Scope/App/Bin folder, Cubase announces "Hardware 12 software revision required". At the next initialisation (Sim2K) it announces it can't access the soundcard and refuses to load. I can play music from media player via Scope analogue and Adat outlets so the card is not dead.

the problem is that Cubase never finally loads so there is no chance to change preferences within Cubase

this has NOTHING to do with cubase settings. if you are using xtc mode, then scope MUST be closed and xtc mode must be enabled BEFORE oipening cubase. if you are using scope mode, then you MUST have asio, wav, and sequencer midi modules set in your scope project BEFORE opening cubase. actually, the wav module is not a must, but it helps the first time you open cubase(the very first time only) because cubase likes to do a test to profile the card's wav driver.

the scope card does NOT work like other sound cards. the main sound card setting to be set in cubase is the driver(asio scope), which should also lead to the sync setting "slave to cw hardware". most of the other settings are done in scope(latency).

I use it in Scope mode and do have all the asio, wave and midi routing modules loaded before I launch Cubase

the scope drivers would appear to be correctly installed and I can play music from a media player out via the adat light pipe as well as the analogue outs. I did manage to get Cubase loaded once and even then it could not load the scope asio drivers. I have reinstalled scope many times and cannot now get cubase to load. It keeps stalling at the initialisation of Sim and Sim2K (these are dlls in the Sope App/Bin folder.

Hmm, this all looks very familiar to the problems I'm having, although I get the bonus of a Cubase crash at the end, before CUbase starts

What are Sim and Sim2K?
