Well i have STS3000-5000 samplers. i recently uograded to SCOPE 4 and up until now hadn't checked the recording side of the samplers. Came to record something the other day and... nothing: it doesn't go into record. i've tried all models.
i had a problem recording in SFP3.1c too, but i found a workaround for that - using an existing wav, copying it, renaming it, dragging it into the Zone and then recording over that. Seemed to work for some reason. Doesn't work in SCOPE 4.
i'm sure this relates to two things: 1. that i'm using SCOPE 4 and 2. i'm on Mac.
i really, really want to avoid the old reinstall SCOPE 4 advice if i can. Plus in really don't think it will solve anything as this is an old problem on probablt SCOPE's weakest link.
Any STS/Mac users out there who have no problems? Please give me hope.
Cheers,
Mr A

STS series do not record
I never used that sts feature because I'm not confortable with the wave display, I prefer to use Sound Forge to make samples, but if I remember well you must first create an empty file as a part of a keygroup of a new program.
I can't check now the exact procedure but if memory doesn't fail you can't just hit record and go without setting a "destination" element in the device.
