Hi ,
Something weird has started happening lately with my Scope projects .
When I go to "save " or overwrite "save as" it will often take 5 minutes or more to save ..... this is for a .pro file of around 400k in size ,that's very slow !..... any ideas folks ?
Regards,
Michael

Very full or heavily fragmented HDD?

Might be worth running some disk checking/diagnossis s/w too, in case it's on the way out.

Also check your processes in the Task Manager, see if anything else is munching CPU.

Thanks guys for your replies .
Good point about checking the Task Manager.
My audio disk is an ultra scsi 320 less than half full and I defrag religiously . but I have my suspicions about my C drv being on its way out .... could that be causing this ? I've beeen trying to clone it to a new drive with Ghost but XP doesn't seem to want to let me ....
Cheers,
M

afaik, defragging your audio files really isn't very helpful. i never defrag them and have had no problems from that.

your C: drive could very well be the problem. i guess the combination of full drive and swap file size might be the problem.

...yes , it's a weird one ... only seems to happen sometimes. I'll check task mngr next time it's happening . Apart from that, Scope and it's host system have been working perfectly for ages ... ( I hope it didn't hear me say that ! )
