midi notes are played on time but are recorded with a small delay.
the worse thing is that the delay is not specific.
sometimes 1/16, some times half a meter, and some other times no delay, byt only for a few seconds and then it appears again.
I have tried many different settings but no result.
i disabled dx accelleration and no result.
I think i am going to leave steinberg, or even pc's............. "apple"

don't use the emulated ports. did you do this?:

if your pc doesn't work right, please don't blame the machine, but rather the setup of it.

i have the choice of emulated and non-emulated ports. i have moved the ignoreportfilter file one folder up long ago. Something else happens to my system, unless i am wrong again with my configuration. midi was perfect with emulated port. after much time of playing, the midi was recording just perfectly as if i was klicking with the mouse button the vertical piano on the left. The midi notes were not recorded shifted right, there were drawed just out from the recording line! Am i missing something with emulated port on use?

at the time my system works perfectly without moving the file ignorepotfilter from its folder.
windows midi does not show anything.
direct music shows the emulated midi
and i have emulated midi only.
but it works perfectly.
non-emulated is always but always wrong in timing, giving worse timings as minutes pass.
"pinacle casthelp" says about some specific interfaces that cannot handle emulated ports.
i am not expert. i just see that it works.
i am looking forward to try a better solution. if there is.
