ok, i just bought an opcode studio 64x midi interface. whenever i hook it up to my pc, both in and out, the notes stick. when i just have out from my keyboard, to in on the interface , an then out to pc... it works. as soon as i hook up the out from my pc to in on the interface, it start sticking notes again.
any idea why this is happening? if i can't get this to work... i need some sort of midi interface. here is what i need to do:
i need to hook up the in and out of every component i have, to send and recieve midi data from my pc. i have an edirol keyboard, which needs to be able to comunicate with it's cc assign software, a korg ms2000r, a roland mks-50, and a roland pg-300.
and i need the interface to be able to hook up to my pc via midi, so it goes straight to sfp. so, i basically need a device that will bus 4 midi in ports to 1 midi out port, and 4 midi out ports to 1 midi in port? but, i still need to be able to send data to individual devices, which i suppose i would do through channel assignment...
Some midi advice needed
yes, channel assignment is the way to address individual devices.
it sounds like you may have a midi feedback loop. you may have more than one device generating clock. if you have daisy chained synths, do you have each successive device connected to a through or an out? that mioght also be the problem.....
