My condolatins to his family. The Moog sound has been a major source of inspiration since I first heard it in my teens on Keith Emerson's "Pictures at an exhibition" until today, when I enjoy playing the Minimax on my Noah EX.

Maybe a post in the guest book would be appropriate.... from those that wish. Thanks Wolf for bringing this to our attention.

I always hoped that this 'Caringbridge' entry wasn't serious...
I'll remember him as a vital part of the music scene until his final days and as someone who achieved so much with so few.

respect, Tom

A living legend now history. Can't stress enough how much of electroacoustic music we owe to this single man.

I just saw it on the front page of the second biggest Danish television channel's homepage today. They don't do that very often.

The first synthesizer I ever played was a Micromoog. Changed my life. I knew immediately that this was the thing for me. No regrets.

I owe Mr. Moog a great deal. We all do. He changed music forever.

RIP Bob.

May I recommend a moment of silence to honor the life of a legend... to be quickly followed by a great thrashing of screaming synth lines.

Set filters to oscillate and sweep wildly!
