I have finally made the jump to the other side and am starting to use Linux as my main OS on a dual boot system with XP. I am tired of waiting for Linux drivers for the Scope platform and have decided to install another pro card with Linux support. M-Audio. Could someone please enlighten me as to how to uninstall the Scope software manually or which is the executable that initiates the uninstall process. The only information I have is from the Support.pdf which was installed with the software, which states:
"1. Deinstalling the programsoftware - WindowsClick on START -> Programs -> SCOPEFusion Platform -> Uninstall (or System-> Software -> Install/Uninstall ->SCOPE Fusion Platform)." ????
Well this nfo is OK if I still had the links in my startup menu group, which I don't.In fact I don't even have it in my Add/Remove Programs list !!
Thanks in advance.

The above Uninstall should be fine!

If you had ever installed the Scope, Under START, All Programs, Scope Platform, select Uninstaller.

Besure to close all applications (included Scope) before doing so.
Then one more thing you need to do is Uninstall (Driver) from Device Manager (My Computer Property) on the "Sound, Video and Game Controller", where Creamware board is registered (Right-Click on it). Then select Uninstall Option.
Last, do not forget to shutdown the PC and Remove the hardware before restart Windows.

I think you missed out on the last line of my message:

You did not install the Scope Platforms sucessfully? Do your Scope Hardware and software can run properly now? V4.0?

One thing you can try is Re-install it (over same entire folders) then you can use Un-Install procedure. If you can not re-install (unless you do not have correct Hardware/Software Keys) then you do not need to un-install?
If it is a case, you might need a support from Creamware! This can be a serious problem!

You could try going into "My Computer"..... finding the relevant drive...... locating the "SFP" folder...... and then deleting. This should have the same effect.

it's not clearly expressed, but I guess the problem is that the card is not available anymore - hence the regular uninstall stuff doesn't work anyway.
in such a setup the system complains about the non-present hardware on every startup, which is kind of annoying, indeed.

there's a registry entry 'scope' (2x) in context with autostart and drivers (if I remember this right) - just delete it and trash the SFP folder.
At least that was what I did when I was too lazy to put the card back for just running the uninstaller...

cheers, Tom
as with any registry stuff: try at your own risk, tho

UR right, I uninstalled the card 1st before uninstalling the software and therefore am getting the corresponding complaints concerning the missing hardware. I thought uninstalling the software would be simpler than it is turning out to be. Executing ScopeAppBinUninstaller.exe results in the error "Cannot start Creamware Uninstaller (error code 0002)."
Are the 2 entries you are referring to for deletion possibly:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTCLSID{DD320B40-17F0-11d2-9CAD-006097A97422}InprocServer32 > D:/Scope/App/Bin/ASIOScop.DLL
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTRunpep.DocumentShellOpenCommand > "D:/Scope/App/Bin/PluginInstaller.exe""%1"
I assume that the reg entries in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARECreamWare
will disappear when the Scope folder is deleted.
Perhaps the best way to go is to reinstall the card and software and then do an unstall.
Muchas gracias.

How about just deleting the dir and removing any stray registry entries with a registry cleaner like TweakNow RegCleaner?

deleting from the registry:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTCLSID{DD320B40-17F0-11d2-9CAD-006097A97422}InprocServer32 > /Scope/App/Bin/ASIOScop.DLL
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTRunpep.DocumentShellOpenCommand > "/Scope/App/Bin/PluginInstaller.exe""%1"
and then the Scope folder fixed everything without any problems. Also made sure all the drivers were uninstalled. Just wanted to get some feedback to make sure before doing it. Thanks to those that replied.
