Just the name caught my interest. Saw my first Pultec design in the mid-70's, I was a green kid in a big mastering house in Miami. This EQ almost acted like a filter, with an envelope in some ways. As usual I like celmos' FX quite alot. This emulation seems to color the sound,in a good way. For example, I recorded this old Chickering Steinway Upright Grand piano that had false beats on the B flat above A440, it EQ'd it right out of the mix, and surrounding notes had a slightly colored fade added that was marvelous. Sometimes things just work great. Sorry about my confusing description, but this was one of many tricks it did with just a couple of takes. It's a great low DSP device IMHO. Put it this way. This was a fast and easy way to avoid paying a Piano tuner. The Piano was perfectly out of tune, he would of ruined it.
