It's mastered for PA systems, not really hifi, I mean the bassdrum has real lows, and there's a subbase synth involved.
You could miss that part with nearfields.
You know what I mean, the effect of pushing the phone shelves to your ears...

Not that I mixed that way, but I tried to left that BD frequency range play an important role in the way it grooves.
It's delicate, I hope I found the right ratio.

It's Eriques's first computer studio activity.
He came up with the two-chord section, and kept an eye on styling and arrangement.
If I say, he's good in selecting sounds, I mean he's good in throwing them away

Hope you enjoy it

This is incredible. The only thing I didn't like was the sound of the hihat. You could use a real hihat or an ethnic sound. Some of the sounds could use more reverb. Overall it is excellent.

Also the hihat rhythm should not hestitate like it does. Try to make it sound like a train.

thanks Braincell
you're right, the hats are the least interessant sound in the track,
I brought them back already to 8 bit (in Kontakt), that helped already a (8) bit
Plus I put a phaser on them to let them move a bit.

BTW, that hesitating is just caused by keeping the open hat muted for a while, later on it's added like normal.
Erique wanted it that way, and who am I?

Enjoying this one, Huuub

...it's like a hurdy-gurdy or something, updated

Yeah, the hats make it drag a bit when they're doing that, might be just a level adjustment thing.
