SP2 issues with multimedia drivers

I found some issues mentioned with one of the security fixes from SP2.

But I can't seem to find the site again. I know there is a workaround ...... the fix can be disabled from within XP...... or you can do a custom install using N-Lite or similar. Just wanted to post so someone else could highlight the page and workaround.

No, I think it's something else. I haven't got time at the moment but when I unearth it I'll post it.

the only sp2 problems i have run into is that the inf installer on the cd that comes from intel must be run manually sometimes, as the autorun file on the cd doesn't work. no big deal and acknowledged on the intel site. i haven't seen any scope or daw functional problems, however.
