Hi guys,
maybe this isn´t the right forum for this question but perhaps there is someone who had the same problem and solved it.

I bought me an Oberheim Matrix 6. Programming is a little tough on it so I decided to do that with Sounddiver which has a dedicated surface for the matrix.

it would be fine to run the sounddiver parallel to my recordingprogram cubase in order to manipulate or change presets via sounddiver.

i want to do that but i don´t know how since cubase "steals" the midiports.

what can i do?

i´m grateful for any help
so don´t hesitate

chears

You can disable a port in Sx, and assign that one to any other application.
more has been done with less

you might need to insert extra delays if the communication with the synth is unreliable.
it's not uncommon that SD (or the synth buffer) is overflowed.

Hello.
If the simplest way don't work with that Cubase version, try this.
It's a bit busy, but could help:
Set your current Scope project with only one couple of sequencer midi source/dest modules. Obviously, if you use CW Midi ports for your ext device, you have to link the CW midi source/dest to that seq modules.
Then launch Soundiver.
Add another couple of seq midi source/dest in the scope project, then launch Cubase.
You could need to add a midi merge module for route midi stream from CW midi source to seq midi dest 1 (Soundiver) and also to other desired destinations.
