I know I did nothing to prevent this situation but, anyway, I feel sad about it...

I echo the sentiments - always a bummer to lose a good developer. I thought you did a fine job with your products.

No,

I think that Dadev's exit qualyfies to a spot here in the announcement area.

Sad to hear it though.

Cheers!
Thomas

I'm not sure whether this is an announcement of Nikko leaving the business, or just him selling some hardware.

So I've moved this to the scope purchasing forum.

Sorry John, I've choosen the wrong Announcement forum! Thanks to have moved the thread to the right place.

Well I do not leave the business, but I stop my Creawmare developments.

I've been happy to play with this EXCELLENT hardware. But now I've too much issues. Because I can't sign their new NDA (I don't want to give all my devices to Creawmare, they are my own sole property) I can't have access to the support and the latest versions of the SDK.

The SDK doesn't work anymore on my new computer (64 bits based).

So I've decided to give-up. And spend my time on the VST/DX or MAC platform.

Something is in the air (tonight?) with my Friend Bernard Chavonnet (CDXTRACT) but I can't tell more. Just remember this name : SAMPLIT.

Also all my plugs will be ported to VST/DX very soon, so my research and development on this platform will stay in the future whatever Creamware exists or not...

Best

What is necessary to transfer the SDK? It's my assumption that it can't be directly handed-off without a new NDA between the buyer and CWA...?

there is no transfer, Narly - you could use the package in the exact same way as Nikko did.
no more - no less - no updates.
SDK is a different thing and requires to sign the paper, which Nikko refuses (like myself).
Nevertheless anything is open to negotiations with CWA eventually, if you have a real bummer to be released...

cheers, Tom
ps: I was about to buy a 2nd hand DP myself sometime ago and got those answers by CWA

I really like Nikko's mastering compressor, it's a nice complement to the darker-sounding VINCO. Also the MIDI toolbox is very handy and gets quite a workout in my studio.

I'm very disappointed.

Best wishes in your new ventures Nikko!

Good luck with the VST. I love VST and best of all it is open source which is the way software should be. Forget proprietary systems. That's just stupid.
